Mike is a Sunbury native and has been flying since the early 1970’s. In fact, he took his first lesson at Penn Valley. He earned his B.S. in Education at Bloomsburg and spent several years as a teacher. After earning his private license, Mike joined the Army where he served as a scout helicopter pilot with an attack battalion. When his service ended, he spent two years as a commercial pilot supporting the oil industry in the Gulf of Mexico. With over 3400 total hours, he is rated as a commercial/instrument rotorcraft pilot, commercial/instrument airplane pilot, and a certified flight instructor. Semi-retired and flexible with flying hours, Mike happily works out of Penn Valley.
